Jalapeño Margarita

Jalapeño Margarita

Though the Jalapeño ranks low on the Scoville scale (the scale that measures spiciness of chili peppers and other spicy food), it has more than enough heat to liven up any Happy Hour.  Basically, we've taken a simple Margarita recipe, and infused it with some muddled Jalapeño to add a bit of heat to a classic cocktail.  If you're a fan of some serious heat, feel free to substitute Habaneros for the Jalapeños.  In any case, we do hope that you'll give it a try, our featured cocktail... Jalapeño Margarita.  Cheers!

2 oz. Tequila Blanco
1 oz. Triple Sec
2 oz. Margarita Mix
2 oz. 7-Up
2 Limes
2 Jalapeños
Coarse Salt (optional)

If you like a salted rim, do that now.  For the drink, begin by muddling the 2 Limes and 1 of the Jalapeños.  Strain that mixture into an ice filled cocktail shaker.  Add the Tequila, Triple Sec, and Margarita Mix.  Cover, shake well, and strain into your ice filled Margarita glass.  Add the 7-Up, give it a good stir, and garnish with a Jalapeño.  Pretty simple, very tasty, and sure to be a hit... Jalapeño Margarita.  Enjoy!
