Dog Day Afternoon
This is a unique and delicious drink that, one would assume, is somehow named after the movie that bears its name. The 1975 Oscar nominated film stars Al Pacino, and its title refers to a hot afternoon in the "dog days" of summer. The cocktail is one of the few that we've posted that blends Wine and Liquor. It's a citrus flavored combo that tastes a lot like a half of a Grapefruit with a little sugar sprinkled on top. The Sauvignon Blanc adds a level of flavor that makes this quite an enjoyable cocktail. We hope that you'll try our featured cocktail... Dog Day Afternoon. Cheers!
5 oz. Sauvignon Blanc
2 oz. Grapefruit Juice
1 oz. Simple Syrup (equal parts heated water and sugar)
Tsp. Granulated Sugar
Slice of citrus and/or Cherry for garnish
Rim a chilled Collins glass with the Sugar. Fill the glass with ice, and add the 4 liquid ingredients. Give it a good stir, and garnish accordingly. If you like a drink that's light and refreshing, and just a little "outside of the box", then you'll definitely want to give this one a try... Dog Day Afternoon. Bottoms up! Please drink responsibly. Thanks!!!
